Evidence that in the pandemic context inequalities in education have been exacerbated and that more flexible and inclusive learning paths are needed has pushed the LINK Partnership to be established. The need analysis undertaken pointed out that the completion of secondary education is a crucial and scary moment for young adults with behavioural and cognitive disabilities and their families. In front of them there is the risk of being excluded from society and from the job market. In this context, post-secondary and adult education can play a crucial role.
A major focus on the importance of fostering digital education seems also to have emerged. The Digital Education Action Plan has indeed highlighted that “digital education should play a pivotal role in increasing equality and inclusiveness” and that after the COVID-19 crisis more than ever “being digitally competent is both a necessity and a right”.

ACTIVITIES
Vertical Divider
An online event to share best practices and experiences on the use of gamification, game-based learning and digital pedagogy for the purpose of providing a fertile ground to develop the Project Results, creating engagement and encouraging active participation among the partner organization.
An awareness campaign including online social media campaigns, virtual meetings and events, will target 1000 among staff working in specialized centres for people with disabilities, Adult Educators working with people with disabilities, adult educator trainers, policy makers, AwBCD and their families. This is in order to raise awareness on the needs and potential of AwBCD, sensitise the audience towards social inclusion and showcase success stories.
Each partner will carry out in its country a 8 hour training (online or offline) targeted to at least 5 Adult educators, to showcase the use of LINK Adult Education Course. The objectives are to inspire and enable Adult Educators to organize high quality learning opportunities for AwBCD and identify the Adult Educators who will replicate the course with their target audience.
Local implementation of the LINK course in which Adult Educators will use a draft version of the LINK Handbook supporting them in the delivery, with the aim of empowering AwBCD to experience an innovative educational and training opportunity and gain a feedback about the LINK Adult Education Course.
